I currently have taken a few photos of cars that I appreciate. The cars that I took photos of were an old Mini Cooper and a new Audi R8. I hope to implement the Mini Cooper into the timeline of the project because it shows the appearance of the Mini from the past. The Audi R8 I could use in my project to emphasize the breakthrough in LED lights that have been implemented into the new era of cars. In my opinion I believe Audi was one of the first companies to introduce the LED lights in cars. I may try and find a car with an old headlamp and combine the two images to illustrate the differences in technology from past to present. I also did some research on the auto manufacturer Skoda and found out that Volkswagen owns them. (http://www.pragueexperience.com/places.asp?PlaceID=1252) Skoda also offers a tour of their factory, which is located in Mlada Boleslav. I plan on going to the facility and taking pictures of the manufacturing process. I will also capture the tour they offer for their old cars to their new cars and focus on specific parts of the car that are significant to the company.

Final idea for Project

My final project idea is to capture the history of cars and how they have changed from the past. Cars have changed over the years with new technology and the differences in their shape. I plan on going around Prague and any other city that I find a car intriguing to its time period. Through my photos by the end I will have a timeline of cars from the past to the present.

Preliminary Ideas

The first idea I have for my project this semester is to tell a story of how the life evolves over through the pictures I take. The second idea I have is to show abstract art through different views of objects. My third idea is to show my experiences that I have undertaken while studying abroad through landscapes of a multiple geographic locations.

HW 1: Exclusivity To Digital Photography

I believe that GQ is a good example of digital photography. The reason I believe this is because the images that are captured by the photographers depict beauty in its perfection. GQ’s digital editing portrays images in a view that is more attractive than reality. This can be seen in the elaborate lighting that occurs in the picture and the appearance of a perfect individual. With the new technologies of digital photography, photographers have the ability to edit a photo efficiently. GQ uses this new technology in their photography. They can quickly get their images to monthly magazines and their website, to support that GQ is exclusive to digital photography. GQ interests me because I appreciate fashion and love the stories that they produce.
